Welcome to Sydney! February is the perfect time to experience our beautiful city. We’ve put together a guide to help you make the most of your stay, from our favourite pubs and restaurants to day trips and activities that will give you a real taste of the city.
Vibe: The Eastern Suburbs, including areas like Surry Hills, Bondi, and Darlinghurst, are the epicentre of Sydney's dining, nightlife, and boutique shopping. It’s perfect for guests who want to be in the middle of the action with endless options for trendy bars and restaurants.
Getting to Athol Hall: While not a direct route, a taxi or bus from these areas will get you to the wedding with no issue. The journey is around 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Dining & Bars: The inner-city has an incredible food scene.
Surry Hills and Darlinghurst are packed with small bars, pubs, and world-class restaurants.
Bondi is known for its café culture and relaxed restaurants like Totti's Bondi.

Vibe: With its strong surf culture and more relaxed feel, the Northern Beaches (Manly, Dee Why, Freshwater) are ideal for guests who want a holiday-like escape. It's a bit more "Aussie" and less crowded than Bondi.
Getting to Athol Hall: This is a more convenient base for the wedding, with a direct bus or a short taxi ride to Mosman.
Dining & Bars: While Manly has a great pub and restaurant scene, it’s not as diverse as the inner-city. Check out The Collaroy for a beautiful beachfront pub or Bert's Bar & Brasserie for a sophisticated experience. For something more casual, you can't go wrong with a pub lunch at The Wharf Bar.

Lord Dudley, Paddington: A classic English-style pub in Paddington with a cozy, traditional atmosphere.
Woollahra Hotel: A stylish pub known for its sophisticated dining (great curry)..
Watsons Bay Hotel: A stunning waterfront venue with panoramic harbour views and a relaxed, coastal vibe.
The DOG, Randwick: A popular local pub in Randwick, offering a casual and lively spot for drinks.
The Clock, Surry Hills: A well-known institution with a large balcony and multiple floors for different moods.
The Alex, Alexandria: A no-frills, rough-and-ready pub with a fantastic and spacious outdoor beer garden.
Coogee Pavillion: A multi-level Coogee venue offering a bustling, beachside experience with various bars and food options.
Marrickville Breweries: Heading to Marrickville breweries is a choose-your-own-adventure experience, with a collection of independent craft breweries all within walking distance of each other.
Can you have a pint in each of them?
The 20 Best Pubs in Sydney

Hit the Beach: Sydney is famous for its beaches for a reason. Head to Bondi Beach or for a more relaxed vibe, check out Bronte Beach or one of the many harbour-side beaches in Mosman, like Balmoral Beach, a short bus ride from Athol Hall.
Coastal Walks: The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is a must-do. This 6km trail offers clifftop views and passes by some of the city's most beautiful beaches and ocean pools. For a Northern Beaches experience, take the scenic Spit Bridge to Manly Walk and finish at the pub.
Harbour Adventures: See the city from a different perspective with a ferry ride. The ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is one of the best Sydney experiences. For something more adventurous, you could even look into a jetboat ride on the harbour.
Day Trips: If you have an extra day, consider one of these popular trips just outside of the city:
Blue Mountains: Just a couple of hours from the city, the Blue Mountains offer stunning scenery, hiking trails, and iconic sights like the Three Sisters.
Hunter Valley: For the foodies and wine lovers, a day trip to Australia's oldest wine region is a great way to sample world-class wine, beer, cheese, and chocolate
